CHOOSE TEMBO on GIVING TUESDAY

GivingTuesday is a global day of giving, a time when Canadians, charities and businesses come together to celebrate generosity and giving.

On Tuesday, November  30, TEMBO Canada will be participating in the global movement as part of our Give Her a Chance campaign. Our goal is to raise $20,000 by December 31, 2021 to continue our support for girls’ education.

This GivingTuesday, Give Her a Chance

Did you know...

… that your donation last year helped send 42 girls to Form 1 (equivalent to Grade 8)? Your donation provided Witness, a 13-year old girl in Longido, with a new school uniform, books, bedding and a trunk.

This year, on GivingTuesday, your donation can help girls like Witness start to prepare for a new school year.

A $25 gift provides a girl with a healthy sanitation kit.

A $55 gift provides a girl with textbooks and school supplies.

A $135 gift provides a girl with a bundle of bedding and a trunk.

A $375 gift sends a girl to school for a year with a trunk, books, bedding and a healthy sanitation kit.

What is Giving Tuesday?

GivingTuesday is a global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year immediately after Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  The “opening day of the giving season,” it’s a time when charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for their favourite causes. In the same way that retailers take part in Black Friday, the giving community comes together for GivingTuesday.

GivingTuesday harnesses the potential of social media and the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities; it provides a platform for them to encourage the donation of time, resources and talents to address local challenges. It also brings together the collective power of a unique blend of partners – nonprofits, civic organizations, businesses and corporations, as well as families and individuals – to encourage and amplify small acts of kindness. Across Canada and around the world, GivingTuesday unites communities by sharing our capacity to care for and empower one another.
